In 2013 TechNed Benelux organized its first seminar about maintenance free lighting solutions for the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical industry.
On 19th June 2014 we held our 2nd edition in Spijkenisse, the Netherlands.
Goal of our (future) seminars is to share knowledge about ATEX related subjects and to share this information with our customers and other stakeholders. The seminar was a big success; 54 people from different companies attended the event.
There were several lectures with the cooperation of different guest speakers.
Mr. Theo Pijpker from Dekra Certification (notified body) gave a presentation about the new ATEX114 standard which will replace the ATEX95.
In addition he presented an interesting presentation about IECEx05 (competences level of people working in potentially explosive area’s).
Besides above lectures Mr. Michiel Bakker from MiBEx shared interesting knowledge about the new installation standard EN60079-14 (electrical installations in potentially explosive area’s) and the new inspection standard EN60079-17.
Attendees rated the seminar from good to excellent; so more to come in the future!
All attendees received the presentations for internal use.
